23 Questions with Bond Collective is a series highlighting the impressive 1,000+ person community spread across the Bond Collective portfolio. Loren Brill is the Founder and CEO of Sweet Loren’s, and a member at Bond 55 Broadway. Loren is a born and bred New Yorker and attended the University of Southern California. Inspired to pursue her passions after beating cancer at a young age, Loren founded Sweet Loren’s, an all-natural baking company with award-winning whole grain cookie dough. Since its inception, Sweet Loren’s has had massive success. Loren was named Top Entrepreneur in Marie Claire’s Women on Top Awards, and her company has been featured on the Today Show, ESPN, and even on Kylie Jenner’s snapchat (just to name a few).
Loren lives in the Financial District and enjoys delicious, healthy food and exercise.
At Bond 55 Broadway, Loren and her team are often found in the kitchen baking up a storm and filling the office with the amazing scent of cookies. Loren has an infectious smile and warm personality along with a powerful presence, when she is in the room you want to listen. Bond Collective's members have asked about the face behind Cookie Fridays, a weekly tradition at all Bond Collective locations, and today we get to find out a little more about Loren. We asked Loren a few questions...
1 - First thing you do in the morning?
Feel gratitude and check in to see how I am feeling. Then I check my phone -- I have my best, clearest ideas early in the morning so I can write off some emails and set the day up with priorities.
2 - Top 3 songs to listen to when you need to get work done?
I would put on my workout playlist to get me pumped up and in the mood to just get work done. If I listen to whatever music I am in the mood for I can crush work and hyper focus for a couple hours.
3 - Favorite coffee shop and go to order?
Bluestone Lane because across from Bond 60 Broad street! Avocado toast and almond milk latte.
4 - Gmail or Outlook?
Gmail, but I am considering switching to Outlook...
5 - App you can’t live without?
Google maps (I'm on the road a lot)
6 - First job?
At Levain Bakery as a cashier and barista. I fell in love with warm cookies there.
7 - Favorite lunch spot?
Sweetgreen, Two Hands, Gramercy Tavern, or The Nomad.
8 - Early or late?
I really try to be on time, but am rarely early... I do like to stay out late vs be up early for sure.
9 - How do you unwind after a long day of work?
Workout, eat a healthy & yummy dinner, and take a long bath with candles, epsom salt, bath oils, music (the whole 9 yards!).
10 - What’s your lucky charm?
I have a necklace that my first intern got me that's become my lucky charm. I wear it almost every day. It's miniature baking pans and utensils that I put on a gold chain that was my grandmother's. It has inspired our packaging design and website.
11 - What inspires you?
Lots of things! Nature, adventure, creating something from nothing, loving life, feeling good, great relationships, love, delicious food, becoming the best version of one's self, being strong, beauty, happiness, mindfulness, energy.

13 - Best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten?
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take". And, "You don't scare me".
14 - How long did it take you to get to work this morning?
6 minute walk! I need to be walking distance to our office.
15 - When’s the last time you celebrated a win?
Last night :) I made a rule that we need to celebrate as often as possible, personal and professional wins.
16 - If you could squeeze one more activity into your daily life, what would it be?
Make time to paint or more time to read books.
17 - If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Magenta (like our packaging)
18 - What is the most interesting thing about you?
I am just as obsessed with health as I am with the most delicious food on the planet.
19. Last show you binge watched?
Shark Tank... does that count?
20. Biggest Cheerleader?
My sister. My mom. My mentors.
21. Call or text?
Facetime is my favorite for real convos. If it's unimportant, then text, please don't waste my time. :)
22. Favorite book?
Steve Jobs' biography.
23. Name 5 people (dead or alive) you would invite to a dinner party.
Oprah, and then both sets of my grandparents, since I never really knew them.
